80 Acres Farms is an American company that uses state-of-the-art technology to grow fresh, healthy, and sustainable produce indoors and without soil.

This hydroponics company was founded in 2015 when the founders were seeking a new way to grow produce in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manner.

80 Acres Farms operates indoor vertical farms in Ohio. The company utilizes precision farming, automation, and data analytics to optimize growing conditions and reduce the environmental impact of farming.

It uses hydroponic systems and LED lighting to grow leafy greens, herbs, tomatoes, strawberries, and microgreens.

As most hydroponics operations do, 80 Acres utilizes a closed-loop system. A closed-loop system recirculates water and nutrients reducing the amount of water used by up to 95% compared to traditional field farming.

And, according to 80 Acres, all produce is pesticide free!

As of this publication date, 80 Acres Farms operates eight facilities across the US with more on the way.

The company’s mission is to revolutionize the way the world grows food by providing fresh, healthy, and sustainable produce to consumers year-round.

Ownership believes that by growing food indoors, they can reduce the environmental impact of farming while increasing the efficiency and productivity of the food supply chain.

80 Acres provides its produce to over 500 retailers and restaurants across the country and just recently introduced its hydroponically grown strawberry to locations in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.
